Artist's CommentsOne night she awoke cold. She sat up quickly, afraid that she had lost him once more, but no. She saw his shadow along the outside of her window. She pulled the covers with her to the windowsill, peering out, watching her lover as he kneeled on the stoop. His hands slipped over the snow slowly, fingers slightly indenting it, eyes wide and mournful with thoughts. She felt as if she was intruding on him with another lover, so tender were his touches. Abruptly he stood, moving inside, and she retreated to her bed. She lay still as she felt his icy cold body move next to hers, and that was the only time she ever shied from his touch. He felt like something that had strayed from the sky. An illustration for my short story.. I've been wanting to do this for so long. There's a lot more I could add to this painting, but I need to leave it as is so at a later date I can come back to it and complete it without hating it outright. The girls name is Ana, by the way.. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
